Pay Rate: $51,000 - $73,550 yr.
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Position Summary: Manage the General Accounting Functions for Johnson County Wastewater to include: User Charge Billing and Collection Activity, Rate Modeling development, methodology and modifications, Budget preparation, management of the Kansas Revolving Loan Program, Financial Reporting (for both Operations and Maintenance and Capital), AP/AR functions for all of JCW, assuring that JCW transactions/records are accurate and conform to required BOCC resolutions, State and Federal Laws, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Responsible for the supervision of the Accounting Staff. Participate in the analysis of debt vs. equity decisions and evaluation of proposed terms of acquisitions, methods of financing, capital analysis, debt (rate) structure and debt impacts.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s Degree Accounting/Finance
-CPA preferred
-5 years Government Accounting
-5 years Experience Bonding and Debt Management
-5 years Experience Project Accounting
-5 years Project Management/Supervisor experience
-Valid driver’s license

Position Title : Treatment Crew Member #JCW102484
Dept/Agency: Wastewater/Leawood

Position Grade: 14 non-exempt
Pay Rate: $14.31 - $17.50 hr.
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Position Summary: Crew Member with assignments in both operations and maintenance, to ensure the plant’s ability to meet NPDES permit.
Qualifications: Required: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; Class 1 operator’s license within 18 months of employment; Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
Preferred: 1) Experience at a secondary wastewater plant; 2) Experience in performing maintenance on wastewater equipment; 3) Knowledge of the operations & maintenance of various chemical feed systems. Education may be substituted for experience and experience may be substituted for education.
