Project Background and Objectives

The Lake Quivira Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation project is located in the City of Lake Quivira, Kansas. Existing sanitary sewers are located throughout the Lake Quivira community to provide sanitary service for residents. Because many of these sewer segments are approaching the end of their useful lives and/or do not meet current design standards to maintain and improve the level of service to the community, JCW plans to repair and upgrade many of the sewers throughout the community.

JCW performed an extensive sanitary sewer evaluation study beginning in 2005. This study identified sewer system defects and provided recommendations for a rehabilitation project. The rehabilitation project will incorporate these recommendations into construction plans. The project will entail the rehabilitation and replacement of approximately 22,000 feet of sanitary sewer.

Late Breaking News

A public meeting is tentatively scheduled for August 2010 after the preliminary design documents are completed. A notice will be mailed to residents with the specific date, time, and location. Check back for further details.

Quick Facts

> 9,000 feet of 8" diameter sewer rehabilitation
