13. Is a deposit required for wastewater services?
• At the current time, JCW does not require a deposit for service.
Billing Process
14. How often are the wastewater bills distributed?
• Johnson County Wastewater bills are distributed every other month for residential properties and monthly for commercial and industrial customers. Look for billing statements in envelopes clearly marked with the JCW logo and address.
15. How long do I have to pay my bill?
• The due date is 30 days from the statement date.
1). Direct Debit : The direct debit system makes payment of your wastewater bills much easier! There's no transaction fee. To sign up, simply download, fill out the form below, and mail to us. Please allow up to four weeks for your request to be processed. You are responsible for payment until this direct deposit service is established.

2). Drive by and use our Drop Off Box: You don't even have to get out of your car. Customers who are out and about can can use our drop box. It'is located in our parking lot across from the main entrance doors to JCW's main offices. A sticker with JCW logo helps to identify it.
3). In person: A customer service representative can help you in person in our lobby. "For security reasons, JCW strongly discourages cash payments at our walk-in billing and collections location. The preferred method is check or money order.” You will recieve a receipt.
4). The U.S. mail: You can always mail your payment in the convenient envelope provided with your bill. Make the checks payable to Johnson County Wastewater. Please remember to detach and include your account slip at the bottom of your bill. Receipts are not issued for mail payments. You can ensure payment has been processed by checking your next periodic statement from your financial institution.
5). Check by phone: You can pay your statement by phone at no additional charge. Simply call Customer Service, (913) 715-8590, and request to make a payment using check by phone.
16. Can I pay my JCW bill online or by automatic deduction from my checking account?
• JCW offers ACH (Direct Debit) which is automatically withdrawn from your checking account. The authorization form can be downloaded from this site; www.jcw.org/DirectDebit.pdf, or call our Customer Service Center for more information, (913) 715-8590.
17. What happens if I don’t pay my wastewater bill on time?
• Bills will be due within 30 days of the billing date. A delinquent notice will be mailed five days after the due date if payment has not been received. The delinquent amount will be subject to the accrual of interest and a late fee.
18. What do I do if I have a billing question or think there is an error on my bill?
• Call the JCW customer service department to report all billing issues.
